\"\"<\/a>I\u2019m thinking back to my <\/span>Teach Like a Pirate<\/span><\/a> post. \u00a0There are so many fun \u201cholidays\u201d that you could use for your hook. \u00a0For example, Saturday is \u201c<\/span>pretend to be a time traveler<\/span><\/a>\u201d day. \u00a0This day could be the anchor for a very cool humanities project. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Arrange students in small groups to form their own production company for a movie based on time travel. \u00a0Ask them to create a story based on a character from the time period they are studying in history arriving in the current day via time travel. \u00a0As part of the project, they could create promotional materials for the marketing department to use when advertising the movie. To help students understand the expectations, you could share materials from <\/span>Find Me in Paris<\/span><\/a> along with a <\/span>rubric<\/span><\/a> for the various parts of the project. <\/span><\/p>\n
