The site not only provides<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mediaeducationlab.com\/sites\/default\/files\/FINAL%20Mind%20Over%20Media%209.17.18.pdf\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lesson plans<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and general information about propaganda but also serves as a place to<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/propaganda.mediaeducationlab.com\/browse\/parody\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">curate examples<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> which provides you with an opportunity to<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/propaganda.mediaeducationlab.com\/rate\/kanye-propaganda\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">examine propaganda, rate its potential impact, and comment on it<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> allowing a chance to share interpretations with others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Modern<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/frankwbaker.com\/mlc\/propaganda\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">lesson plans<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> abound about<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cleverism.com\/7-propaganda-techniques-for-students-to-understand\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> propaganda<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Some are topic-specific, from commercials to<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.middleweb.com\/28053\/teaching-about-propaganda-using-political-ads\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">political ads<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mediasmarts.ca\/sites\/mediasmarts\/files\/pdfs\/lesson-plan\/Lesson_Online_Propaganda_Proliferation_of_Hate.pdf\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">proliferation of hate<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.humanesociety.org\/sites\/default\/files\/docs\/dogfighting-lesson-five-media-and-propaganda.pdf\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dogfighting<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icivics.org\/teachers\/lesson-plans\/propaganda-whats-message\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Civics<\/span><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/newslit.org\/educators\/civic-blog\/distinguishing-among-news-opinion-and-propaganda\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">connections<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are plentiful. There are even units available that explain how to<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ushmm.org\/educators\/lesson-plans\/redefining-how-we-teach-propaganda\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">redefine<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> our teaching about propaganda.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Students learn best from applying what we have taught them. Teach students to create<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/constitutioncenter.org\/media\/files\/PropagandaPostersLesson.pdf\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">posters<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">,<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecreativeeducator.com\/v07\/lessons\/Persuade_with_Emotional_Appeals\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">commercials<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, or some other type of medium that relays a message. Games are also another way for students to show what they know. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.agloa.org\/prop-docs\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Propaganda by AGLOA.org<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is a question and response game with versions for elementary through high school. You can play the online version <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/propagandagame.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/getbadnews.com\/#intro\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bad News<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is an online game that places students as the creators of disinformation, and the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/getbadnews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Bad-News-Game-info-sheet-for-educators-English.pdf\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">object of the game<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is to gather as many followers as possible without losing too much credibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Propaganda is not new. As educators we need to recognize that contemporary propaganda is prevalent every day for our students and adjust our teaching accordingly.
