The 2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/nationalwomenshistoryalliance.org\/2022-theme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">theme<\/a> is &#8220;Women Providing Healing, Promoting Hope.&#8221;<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/KT14lXXA_bY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Women&#8217;s History Month<\/a> is a time to celebrate women and their role in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.history.com\/topics\/womens-history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">history<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.learningforjustice.org\/magazine\/a-more-complete-womens-history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">world<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/education.blogs.archives.gov\/2021\/03\/09\/womens-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Quality resources<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nea.org\/professional-excellence\/student-engagement\/tools-tips\/womens-history-month-classroom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">teaching Women&#8217;s History Month<\/a> are plentiful!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reading a book is a great way to learn more about women&#8217;s history! There are great books about women for all age groups. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adl.org\/blog\/12-picture-books-to-read-for-womens-history-month\">Pict<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adl.org\/blog\/12-picture-books-to-read-for-womens-history-month\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">u<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.adl.org\/blog\/12-picture-books-to-read-for-womens-history-month\">re books<\/a> abound <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/parents\/thrive\/childrens-books-to-celebrate-womens-history-month\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">about women<\/a> doing great things. Pictures, journals, advertisements, and audio recordings <a href=\"https:\/\/guides.loc.gov\/american-women-history\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bring history to life<\/a> for your students. The Library of Congress has organized various <a href=\"https:\/\/www.loc.gov\/classroom-materials\/?fa=subject_topic:women%27s+history\">classroom resources<\/a> around women&#8217;s history topics with lesson plans for easy use. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshistory.org\/students-educators\/digital-classroom-resources\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Digital collections<\/a> make it easy for students to find something about women&#8217;s history that interests them. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/extra\/tag\/womens-history-month\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lesson plans about news stories<\/a> make women&#8217;s history current.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.weteachnyc.org\/resources\/collection\/march-womens-history-month\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Women&#8217;s history<\/a> offers a wide variety of topics to explore in your classroom. Even the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/gptL2xWTjwE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">history behind Women&#8217;s History Month<\/a> can be a whole lesson! Whether you are exploring <a href=\"https:\/\/edsitement.neh.gov\/teachers-guides\/womens-history-united-states\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">women&#8217;s history in the United States<\/a> or taking a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/03\/01\/learning\/lesson-plans\/teaching-and-learning-about-womens-history-with-the-new-york-times.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">broader view<\/a>, women&#8217;s history is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cliohistory.org\/click\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">everywhere<\/a>. Choose a more specific topic to teach about that takes place in March, like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.barbiemedia.com\/timeline.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Barbie&#8217;s birthday<\/a>,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/articles\/000\/determining-harriet-tubman-s-birth-year.htm\"> Harriet Tubman&#8217;s birthday<\/a>, or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.internationalwomensday.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">International Women&#8217;s Day<\/a>. Women&#8217;s history doesn&#8217;t have to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.educationworld.com\/a_special\/women_history_lesson_plan.shtml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">celebrated<\/a> only in March! Every month has a day that<a href=\"https:\/\/www.archives.gov\/research\/alic\/reference\/womens-history.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> connects to women&#8217;s history<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adl.org\/media\/9602\/download\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Celebrate women every day<\/a> for the <a href=\"https:\/\/myhero.com\/womens-history-month-lesson-plan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">heroes<\/a> that they are!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Celebrate Women&#8217;s History Month in your classroom!
