There are World Poetry Day-specific <a href=\"https:\/\/larryferlazzo.edublogs.org\/2016\/03\/21\/the-best-world-poetry-day-resources-help-me-find-more\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">resources<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pearsoncanadaschool.com\/index.cfm?locator=PS34Yy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lesson plans<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/poetry4kids.com\/news\/world-poetry-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">activities<\/a> available for all age groups. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teachhub.com\/classroom-activities\/2021\/03\/embracing-world-poetry-day-in-your-class\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Celebrating World Poetry Day<\/a> with students should be fun and educational! <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teachstarter.com\/us\/blog\/world-poetry-day-activities-2018-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Younger students<\/a> will be engaged by funny poems like those by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shelsilverstein.com\/learning-resources\/#lessons-and-activities\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Shel Silverstein<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.familyfriendpoems.com\/poems\/children\/by-kids\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">young poets<\/a> like themselves. Engage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/education\/2012\/mar\/19\/teaching-resources-world-poetry-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">older students<\/a> with <a href=\"http:\/\/teacheroffduty.com\/20-slam-poems-you-can-use-in-your-classroom-tomorrow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">poetry slams<\/a>! Middle-grade students can benefit from a <a href=\"https:\/\/windrush-monument.levellingup.gov.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Y5-6-Caged-Bird.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wide variety<\/a> of approaches. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/edsitement.neh.gov\/closer-readings\/national-poetry-month-celebrating-world-poetry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Celebrating world poetry<\/a> can be done in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaeteachers.org\/index.php\/blog\/1995-5-ideas-to-teach-poetry-in-all-subjects\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">any subject<\/a>! Start your class by reading from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatdowedoallday.com\/diverse-poetry-books-for-kids\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">diverse poetry book<\/a> or a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.poetryfoundation.org\/poems\/browse#page=1&amp;sort_by=recently_added&amp;filter_poetry_children=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">diverse poem<\/a>. Try out a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weareteachers.com\/poetry-games-for-the-classroom\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">poetry game or fun<\/a> activity. Use <a href=\"http:\/\/diverse-education.eu\/poetry-with-scratch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">coding<\/a> to bring poetry into your computer science classroom. Teach your high schoolers to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.elacommoncorelessonplans.com\/literature-reading-standards\/how-to-annotate-analyze-poem.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">annotate<\/a> using poetry.
