Some research processes are better suited to the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/image.slidesharecdn.com\/inquirybasedresearch2ppt-150608005746-lva1-app6892\/75\/inquiry-based-research2-ppt-11-2048.jpg?cb=1667622937\" target=\"_blank\">qualities of inquiry-based research<\/a> than others. There are many examples to choose from that are based on inquiry-based research concepts. The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/a\/ncps-k12.org\/lmc-saxe\/thethe-big-6-a-systematic-approach-to-inquiry-based-research\" target=\"_blank\">Big 6\/ Super 3 <\/a>model can be used with any grade level. The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/image.slidesharecdn.com\/inquirybasedresearch2ppt-150608005746-lva1-app6892\/75\/inquiry-based-research2-ppt-9-2048.jpg?cb=1667622937\" target=\"_blank\">WISE model<\/a> works well in elementary school. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/bib20.blogspot.com\/2015\/08\/respect-research-why-we-chose-kuhlthaus.html\" target=\"_blank\">Kuhlthau&#8217;s Guided Inquiry <\/a>and Stripling&#8217;s models are better used with middle and high school students. The Five Es work well with scientific inquiry, and the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalgeographic.org\/education\/programs\/geo-inquiry\/\" target=\"_blank\">Geo-Inquiry process<\/a> offers a geographic perspective. There is even an <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/libapps\/accounts\/23324\/images\/Inquiry_Questions_Model.png\" target=\"_blank\">inquiry questioning model<\/a>! Whether you want to <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theedadvocate.org\/10-inquiry-based-and-problem-based-teaching-strategies-and-activities-for-the-k-12-classroom\/\" target=\"_blank\">start small<\/a> or <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/spencerauthor.com\/wonder-week\/\" target=\"_blank\">go big<\/a>, one of the best ways to start is centering student research around something they wonder about. They can be used with elementary, middle, or <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/knowledgequest.aasl.org\/introducing-high-schoolers-to-research-through-webquests\/\" target=\"_blank\">high school<\/a> students. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/resilienteducator.com\/classroom-resources\/steam-inquiry-based-learning\/\" target=\"_blank\">STEAM education<\/a> has many venues for inquiry into things that students wonder about. The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ares.jsc.nasa.gov\/interaction\/eeab\/student-scientist-guidebook.html\" target=\"_blank\">world around them<\/a> is something that students are always curious about. Inquiry-based research can be used in conjunction with a variety of topics like <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.evergreen.edu\/investigations\/amandas-unit-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\">place-based learning<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.readwritethink.org\/classroom-resources\/lesson-plans\/investigating-animals-using-nonfiction\" target=\"_blank\">animals<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/hreusa.org\/hre-guide\/lesson-12-inquiry-based-research\/\" target=\"_blank\">human rights<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/lessons.unbounded.org\/ela\/grade-10\/module-3\/unit-2\" target=\"_blank\">argument essays<\/a>, and even <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.readwritethink.org\/classroom-resources\/lesson-plans\/grow-inquiry-based-organic\" target=\"_blank\">organic gardening<\/a>.
