During this week, the <a href=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hour of Code<\/a> is celebrated globally! The Hour of Code is meant to be a <a href=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/us\/learn\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/us\/learn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">one-hour introduction to computer science<\/a> designed to demonstrate to everyone that coding is accessible and to engage student participation in computer science. This year&#8217;s theme is <a href=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/us\/ai\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/us\/ai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Creativity with AI<\/a>! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/code.org\/hourofcode\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/code.org\/hourofcode\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hour of Code<\/a> is designed so that every teacher can participate regardless of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ditchthattextbook.com\/20-ways-to-celebrate-the-hour-of-code-in-any-class\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/ditchthattextbook.com\/20-ways-to-celebrate-the-hour-of-code-in-any-class\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">subject they teach<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weareteachers.com\/hour-of-code-activities\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.weareteachers.com\/hour-of-code-activities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">amount of coding experience<\/a> they have. <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.tcea.org\/plan-now-for-hour-of-code\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/blog.tcea.org\/plan-now-for-hour-of-code\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Planning for the Hour of Code<\/a> is made easy with the variety of <a href=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/us\/how-to\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/us\/how-to\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">resources<\/a> available, including a step-by-step <a href=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/files\/participation-guide.pdf\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/files\/participation-guide.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">participation guide<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/au\/promote\/resources\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/au\/promote\/resources\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Promoting your Hour of Code<\/a> can even involve other teachers or your whole school and excite your students. <\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-medium\"><a href=\"https:\/\/teachersfirst.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023_NOV_21_Hour_of_Code_Silva.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"300\" src=\"https:\/\/teachersfirst.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023_NOV_21_Hour_of_Code_Silva-200x300.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8796\" srcset=\"https:\/\/teachersfirst.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023_NOV_21_Hour_of_Code_Silva-200x300.png 200w, https:\/\/teachersfirst.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023_NOV_21_Hour_of_Code_Silva-683x1024.png 683w, https:\/\/teachersfirst.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/2023_NOV_21_Hour_of_Code_Silva.png 735w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To alleviate any anxiety about helping your students during your Hour of Code event, it is best to try out the coding <a href=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/us\/learn\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/us\/learn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">activities<\/a> beforehand. There is a <a href=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/files\/EducatorHourofCodeLessonPlanOutline.docx\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/files\/EducatorHourofCodeLessonPlanOutline.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">general Hour of Code lesson plan<\/a> available. <a href=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/us\/supporting-special-needs-students\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/us\/supporting-special-needs-students\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Differently abled<\/a> students can participate in Hour of Code with some adaptations and <a href=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/us\/assistive-technology\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/hourofcode.com\/us\/assistive-technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">assistive technology<\/a>.
