Try out some <a href=\"https:\/\/discovere.org\/programs\/chats-with-change-makers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">monthly STEM career chats for grades 3\u20138<\/a> from Discover Engineering, or The Smithsonian\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/ssec.si.edu\/stemvisions-blog\/free-smithsonian-activities-national-engineers-week\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">two easy-to-implement engineering activities<\/a>. STEM in the Middle also furnishes <a href=\"https:\/\/steminthemiddle.net\/national-engineers-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">four middle school activities<\/a>. The American Society for Civil Engineers provides a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asce.org\/career-growth\/pre-college-outreach\/everyday-engineering\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">variety of activities<\/a> that can be implemented with easy-to-find materials. You can also check out \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.teachengineering.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Teach Engineering<\/a> and Try Engineering, both of which offer <a href=\"https:\/\/tryengineering.org\/teachers\/lesson-plans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">engineering lesson plans<\/a> for all ages as well as a lesson plan <a href=\"https:\/\/tryengineering.org\/engineering-lesson-plan-toolkit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">toolkit<\/a>. The National Science Foundation website contains a page of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nsf.gov\/news\/classroom\/engineering.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">engineering classroom resources<\/a> or, if you want to go big, check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/futurecity.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Future City Competition<\/a>, where \u201cstudents design a futuristic city with innovative solutions to some of today\u2019s most pressing issues.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These resources make it easy to celebrate National Engineers Week and Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day in your classroom. Your students deserve it!
