Whether it&#8217;s a beloved classic or a brand-new adventure, reading should be a natural and <a href=\"https:\/\/noveleffect.com\/get-caught-reading-month\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">enjoyable activity for students<\/a>, and Get Caught Reading Month aims to promote this mindset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Reignite the reading spark with <a href=\"https:\/\/noveleffect.com\/get-caught-reading-month\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Get Caught Reading Month activities<\/a>! It is designed to motivate people to read more through various challenges and activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.showcasecinemas.com\/programs\/6075-bookworm-wednesdays\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bookworm Wednesdays<\/a> from Showcase Cinemas encourages and rewards summer reading by entitling kids to free admission to a select children&#8217;s film when they present a book report at a participating cinema.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hpb.com\/summer-reading.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&nbsp;HPB Summer Reading Camp<\/a> from Half Price Books provides registered participants access to printable camp components all summer, including reading lists, activity ideas, and coloring sheets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/04\/18\/learning\/our-15th-annual-summer-reading-contest.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The 15<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Summer Reading Contest<\/a> from the New York Times invites middle and high school students to share what they\u2019re reading and why. Participants can choose any piece of writing, such as a novel, memoir, or news article, and submit a short explanation. &nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scholastic.com\/site\/summer-reading.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Summer Reading Zone<\/a> on Scholastic\u2019s Home Base platform is a free, digital destination where kids can engage in summer reading activities with children nationwide. The program is safe and moderated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.barnesandnobleinc.com\/our-stores-communities\/summer-reading-program\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Barnes &amp; Noble Summer Reading Program<\/a> offers students in grades 1\u20136 a path to earning a free book. Students read a designated number of books, write about their favorite part in their reading journals, and bring the journals to a Barnes &amp; Noble store. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can offer students a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ala.org\/alsc\/publications-resources\/book-lists\/summer-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">book list<\/a> or prepare your own. You\u2019ll also want to provide students with a fun <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weareteachers.com\/summer-reading-log-bundle\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">summer reading log<\/a>. Share one or more classwide <a href=\"https:\/\/bookriot.com\/summer-reading-program-ideas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">summer reading activities<\/a> and make summer reading fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Encourage your students to Get Caught Reading in May and continue reading throughout the summer!
