Using the right challenges and everyday items, teachers can create a low-cost, pop-up makerspace-in-a-box for their classroom. Drop by to check out our makerspace-in-a-box, try out a few activities, and discuss management ideas and ways to tie activities to curricular objectives.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Purpose:<\/span><\/h5>\n<p>Our goal with this \u201cdrop-in\u201d session is to offer support to teachers experiencing difficulty with adding \u201cmaking\u201d to lessons as appropriate. Using makerspace principles, teachers can create learning opportunities that challenge students to use a design process and\/or computational thinking to solve problems.
