Session Description:<\/span><\/h4>\n

Looking to develop your students\u2019 ability to construct knowledge? Join us for a deep dive into Wakelet, a multipurpose platform that allows students to curate information, build collections, and create artifacts that demonstrate their conceptual understanding. Students can work alone or collaboratively depending on project needs.<\/p>\n

Purpose:<\/span><\/h5>\n

Knowledge construction is a process that helps students to draw conclusions and create evidence of their new understandings. In this session, participants will learn more about this constructivist strategy of teaching and learning. In order to construct knowledge, students must have access to the correct scaffolds and tools. One such tool is Wakelet. This session will introduce participants to Wakelet and the features that make it the perfect knowledge construction tool.<\/p>\n

Objectives:<\/span><\/h5>\n

As a result of this session, the participant will understand the constructivist concept of knowledge construction and will be prepared to evaluate the use of Wakelet to facilitate knowledge construction in their classroom.<\/p>\n
