Learn to use Big Huge Labs with copyright-friendly photos for the win! Templates on this free website will allow your students to demonstrate what they have learned in a number of individually creative ways.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Purpose:<\/span><\/h5>\n<p>Every student is not an artist, but they can all be creative. Using templates can help us separate the two and scaffold students as they practice using their imaginations to solve problems. In this session, we will introduce participants to the Big Huge Labs website and share ways to use templates and images for scaffolding creative thought. Additionally, we\u2019ll discuss ways to introduce copyright discussions in the classroom centered around remixing materials released with creative commons licensing.<\/p>\n<h5><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Objectives:<\/span><\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants will deepen their own understanding of copyright and creative commons.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants will learn about various websites that house images with creative commons licenses that can be used for student projects and the appropriate way to have students attribute the images.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Participants will collaborate and discuss ideas for using the Big Huge Labs site across various content areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/teachersfirst.com\/conferences\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/Big-Huge-Labs.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Download a PDF copy of the slides here<\/a>.<\/h3>\n<h2 style=\"color: white;
