Chapter Twenty-Five - Science Activity

Harry learns about how Voldemort learned of Professor Trelawney’s prophecy about Harry Potter—someone was listening at the door when Professor Trelawney told Dumbledore of her divination. For this activity, you will need a glass or cup, a partner, and a door.

Take turns standing on either side of the door. Hold the cup up to your ear and press it to the door. Have the other person speak, and see if you can hear them. Then, take the class away, and see if you can still hear them. Take turns speaking and listening, and see how well the glass helps you listen to the talking on the other side of the door.
