Integrating Shannon McClintock Miller's Choice Board for Podcasts into the elementary classroom can significantly enhance listening comprehension skills and encourage literacy development (read more about podcasts in the classroom here). Introduce the choice board of podcasts to students and encourage students to explore the podcasts based on their interests. Facilitate discussions about the podcasts, allowing students to share their favorite episodes and insights with their peers. You can use a tool like Padlet, reviewed here which offers a digital bulletin board for students to share insights and reflections or students can record video responses discussing their favorite podcast episodes. This is a link to Padlet's Help section for posting video or an image. Integrate some of the podcasts into existing units of study as supplemental resources. For example, assign a relevant podcast from Julie's Library to complement a reading lesson. You can then provide guiding questions or reflection prompts to help students make connections between the podcast content and what they're learning in class. Here's a great blog post on Questioning Strateties that can help you craft those. Wrap it all up by giving students an opportunity to create their own podcasts. Choose from several free resources to create your podcasts. Spotify for Podcasters (was Anchor), reviewed here, Buzzsprout, reviewed here, and PodOmatic, reviewed here. This can be a great collaborative project where students work together to produce podcasts on topics of their choice or related to the unit of study. Enter a prompt describing your topic, musical style, mood, or desired lyrics, and Suno will generate original songs based on your instructions. Users can create songs with AI-generated lyrics, provide their own lyrics, or generate instrumental music. Within moments, Suno typically creates multiple versions of a song for you to review. After listening, you can extend, remix, edit, or regenerate songs as desired. Finished songs can be shared through a link or downloaded for use in presentations, videos, podcasts, and other classroom projects. Imagine automatically creating a video from a written description. That possibility is now available with InVideo AI, an AI-powered video creation tool that turns ideas into videos in just a few minutes. After creating a free account, enter a detailed prompt describing the video you want to create. InVideo AI generates a script, selects media, adds voice narration, and assembles a video based on your instructions. Once the video is created, you can edit scenes, modify the script, change media, adjust voiceovers, or regenerate portions of the project as needed. When finished, export the video to your device or share it via the available publishing options. InVideo AI can be used to create educational videos, presentations, explainers, social media content, and more. A free plan is available, though it includes limited AI generation time, exports with an InVideo watermark, and restricted access to premium media and features. As with any artificial intelligence (AI) tool, educators should review all generated content for accuracy and appropriateness before sharing it with students.

Enroll in the free, self-paced course to learn about text set design and how to use text sets to build student knowledge and vocabulary in any subject. Visit the links at the top of the site to find downloadable text sets categorized by elementary, middle, and high school. Within each category, the text sets are then organized into grade levels. Download a planning guide with links to resources and activities for each text set offered. In addition, each set includes separate links to additional resources such as student work samples, KWL charts, and more. Find materials to differentiate learning for all students by browsing through the different grade-level offerings to find materials that meet the needs of students who need additional support and resources that challenge gifted learners. Next, choose "Infographic" from the left menu. You can then choose the format of infographic you wish to create, such as Process, Timeline, Health, and several others. Once you have the format you want, choose "Customize." You can select a different font and size, upload images from your computer or their library, change the background, and more. When finished, save your infographic to work on or view later or download it to your computer.

Ask students to select one that appeals to them, and then create one as a class for a concept you just learned or as a review for a test. Show on your whiteboard or with a projector how to select a template or create your own, where to find the image library, and how to upload your own images. Once the class has saved the infographic, you can have them create infographics on their own to include in multimedia reports, as a book report, as a study aid for a test, or to show what they've learned from a unit of study. Upschool provides many free learning opportunities aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The core of Upschool's content includes a selection of 10-week and short courses with topics such as The Solar System and Beyond and The Importance of Mountains. Additional learning opportunities include Social Scenarios, Comprehension Corner, SDG Challenges, and Teacher Training. Upschool also has a library of over one hundred books submitted by authors with a special message to share. Read the books online or download them as a PDF for free. Many of the books also include teaching resources such as task cards.

In the Classroom
Share Upschools 10-week and short courses with students to complete as individualized learning projects. Encourage gifted students to select courses that meet their interests and develop a personal learning plan based on the content. Each course includes accompanying materials for parents and teachers to support student learning. Use Whiteboard.chat, reviewed here as a collaboration tool for students while taking courses provided on the site. Create a board for each "cohort" to share ideas, ask questions, and add resources. After completing courses, ask students to share their learning through a method of their choosing. Examples might include podcasts shared using Spotify for Podcasters, reviewed here or videos created with FlexClip, reviewed here.

Plix (Play, Learn, Interact, and eXplore) shares over 1,000 interactives, providing practice and exploring math and science concepts. Math topics range from adding whole numbers to calculus concepts; science content includes biology, physics, earth, and life science, among others. Follow the directions found in each interactive to move the slider to show changes in each story problem or question. Plix integrates with several learning management systems, including Google Classroom, Schoology, and Canvas. Share Plix activities by creating a new class on the Plix site or assigning it to your learning management system.

In the Classroom
Use Plix interactives as warm-up activities when teaching new concepts, as a computer center activity, or as an exploration activity for homework. If you are not using a learning management system, use the three dots located on the top bar to find different share options and embed code to use on websites. After providing exploration time, ask students to share their understanding of the content in the using Padlet, reviewed here. This is a link to Padlet's Help section for posting video or an image. Pear Practice is a gamified learning experience that promotes collaborative learning and independent practice using tools provided by Pear Deck, reviewed here. Use Pear Practice to create learning experiences or choose from the large selection of activities in the practice sets. When creating a set, Pear Practice allows members to create multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, drawing, and drag-and-drop questions. Once a practice set is chosen, create an assignment for individual practice or start a live practice by choosing one of the game mode options. Options within live practice activities allow educators to set time limits for questions, allow guest students not in Pear Deck classrooms, and create random groups. Students join activities using the unique code or by sharing a link. When sharing as an assignment, specify a start and ending date and assign an accuracy goal for students to achieve. Students can retake the assignment as often as needed to meet the accuracy goal. Many activities in Pear Practice's public library correlate to Common Core Standards.

Use this feature to differentiate practice materials and games to accommodate the different needs of your students. For example, generate practice sets for multilingual learners to learn vocabulary before beginning a new unit or make a set for students needing additional math facts practice.
