December is Read a New Book Month, making it the perfect time to delve into Reading Treks, TogetheRead, CurriConnects, and Reading Suggestions collections to discover new books for your students to enjoy.
Grades K-12
Reading Treks - Make Learning a Journey
Students can journey through fiction and information books with Reading Treks. Each Trek includes maps, a downloadable PDF with standards, grade levels, plus ideas and tech activities for using the Trek in class. Check back often as new books are added.

TogetheRead
Each month, TogetheRead offers a new theme along with a book list and activity suggestions for all grade levels. The themed book lists include questions and activities based on reading strategies for effective readers.

Reading Suggestions
Use this list to help students find a new book to read this month! Simply click on the grade level to explore and a book list will be provided. Most books offer a short description and some link to other titles by the same author.

2Titles
This site, for ages 13+, asks a few questions and then suggests some titles that you may enjoy. You can click the "Previously Read" button, and new books will be shared. There is also an option to "Don't Show Again" if you are not interested.

Unite for Literacy Library
Skim through the many online books with audio for young readers. Choose books to read from the library shelves, then narrow down choices using picture icons for different themes. Click to choose the title. Many languages are available for readings.

Share What You're Reading
Write a review of your favorite book and read others' reviews, too! Advice for writing a good review is easily accessible. Find your next book by reading the reviews or selecting grade level and genre to discover titles of interest.
Create Books for Others to Enjoy

Create interactive stories with drag and drop features, illustrations, and more. Choose from image filters and a variety of fonts to personalize your story. Follow the prompts to add images, backgrounds, and audio. When finished, preview and publish.

Book Creator
Follow prompts to add video, text, images, and audio to your book. When finished, publish and share your book using the site's web-based reader for access on any device. The free account allows for 40 books to be saved and includes a helpful tutorial.
