Accessible on any device, Epic! offers thousands of high-quality free books for young readers. Educators can receive feedback including time spent reading, page flips, and books read. Students also earn badges and rewards for reaching milestones.
Grades 1-7
Bookopolis
This online social reading club includes digital reading logs, reading log prompts, and suggestions for places to find reading comprehension questions. Educators can also monitor and comment on the students' writing and reading.
Grades K-8
Freckle Education
Freckle has over 500 ELA articles, each with five reading levels, that align with social studies, science, and all ELA standards. Students complete a diagnostic pre-test to determine their reading level before they begin reading.

The Readability Test Tool
Find text at the perfect level! Copy and paste a URL to test its readability against Kincaid, ARI, and other indexes. View sentence info, such as total characters, number of words, average word length, and the percentage of short and long sentences.
Grades 3-12
What Speed Do You Read?
Use this short comprehension quiz to measure your reading speed and how you compare nationally. While this is a great way to track reading fluency, remember it’s sometimes important to take your time!
