Economics can be a challenging concept to exemplify especially for younger students. "Producers" is a very brief presentation that includes colorful drawings, easy vocabulary, a drag and drop activity, and is simple for students to understand. This site can be used in conjunction with the Consumer presentation (reviewed here) to teach the concepts of consumers and producers.

In the Classroom

Share this site on your interactive whiteboard or projector. Use these sites as an introduction to a simple Economics unit about Producers and Consumers. This would be a great opportunity to begin using money as a method of payment or a discussion on trading and bartering. Extend these presentations into a theme unit that includes goods and services. Have students create online books displaying their understanding using a site such as Bookemon reviewed here.
