Diffit is a tool that helps teachers differentiate lessons using any text, article, or web page. To use Diffit, you need to create a free account. Then, select one of three options: Literally Anything, Books, Text, PDF, Link, or Vocabulary. Then, choose the approximate reading level you want for the differentiated materials. After entering all the necessary information, click Generate Output. Diffit will produce an adaptive reading passage, a summary, key vocabulary words, multiple-choice and short-answer questions, and open-ended prompts. All of the generated content can be edited or added to. Use the dropdown box to adjust the reading level or language. Share the materials with students by copying them into a document, printing, or exporting them to Google Docs/Forms. Diffit premium is free for 60 days and after that the free features change monthly. Also, there is a Certified Teacher program to get free access to premium features. You can share your code to get extended access to those premium features.

Quickly and easily generate and share timelines using the Turbo Timeline Generator. Begin by clicking the link to edit a timeline and change the informational text to add information to your timeline. Copy and paste data from a website or document or type information into the timeline generator. Add images by putting square brackets around key information as described in the instructions; Class Tools finds images based on your content. Timelines must contain ten or more items to use the save feature. When saving a timeline, provide a password when prompted to access your unique URL. Timelines are not kept on Class Tools, so save the URL in an easy-to-find location for use later and edit information if desired. Additional options available for sharing timelines include QR codes and embed codes.

Take advantage of this timeline creator to create and share timelines that engage students for many classroom uses and content. For example, create a timeline of events in a novel or historical event, use a timeline to show steps in a progression of events such as turning a bill into law, or create a timeline of class events throughout the school year to share during the end-of-year activities. Claude is an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot that serves many purposes, such as summarizing and analyzing information, translating text and data, and creating ideas and responses to text. One useful feature in Claude is adding up to five files in PDF, txt, CSV, and other formats. Begin by creating an account using your email address or Google account. Enter your message in the chat box, and Claude will respond based on your input. Use the option to regenerate the request if you want to see different answers, or use the chat box to type in clarifying information to improve the response. View your chat history below the message box and click any chat to review the reply. Use the drop box with the message's title to rename the chat or delete it from your history. Always verify any information provided by Claude before using it. (Claude is an evolving tool, and many features regularly change (or upgrade).

Begin by signing in using your Google or Microsoft account, then add a topic, select a language (QuestionWell responds in over a dozen languages), and paste an optional reading passage. Leave the reading passage blank for QuestionWell to write a passage for you. When ready, click "Generate Set" to generate a set of multiple-choice questions and, if selected, the reading passage. Choose all questions, remove any unwanted ones, or add your own before sharing them with students. When ready, use the export link to print your quiz or share it with several sites, including Wayground (formerly Quizizz), reviewed here, Google Forms, reviewed here, and others. K20 Games offers over a dozen games encouraging critical thinking skills through game-based learning. Games place students in the role of decision-makers in real-world situations. Examples of games include Aware, which puts the student as an emergency manager in a region plagued with emergency disasters, and Paper Trail. This game asks students to consider how to behave in a morally corrupt business community. To access the games as an educator, select the Request Games link and complete the required information to receive an invitation code. Receipt of the code typically takes 24-48 hours. After receiving the code, follow the directions in your email response to create an account. Create a class, then select games to assign to your students. Each selected game includes teaching materials and a sample lesson plan. Share the provided invitation key with students to access and play games.

Include financial literacy games in your classroom to engage students in discussing finances, statistics, and decision-making using real-life scenarios. Read over the guide deciding which parts need to be shared with the class. Introduce the guide and the projects to students on an interactive whiteboard or with a projector through the part "activate prior knowledge." Then pair more computer savvy students with novice computer users or weak readers with stronger readers as needed. Next, the student-driven approach to the projects includes "Take a Closer Look" activities are scaffolded, guided learning activities that connect subject-area content and artificial intelligence concepts. "Culminating Performances" are meaningful performance tasks that challenge students to synthesize their learning and reflect on what they have learned. Once students have finished the first project, consider setting up computer stations for students to try out the different AI projects. Engage your middle and high school students with Working in Harmony. Discovery Ed and CMA have worked together to create this educational STEAM site. These standards-aligned activities demonstrate how diverse country music careers apply STEAM skills. With activities aligned with the "This is STEAM Country Video Topic Series," students can hear how STEAM skills are used in industry. Find a virtual tour and many activities and lesson plans. Though Working in Harmony features country music, the activities and lessons can be applied to various award shows and music genres.

As the activities are completed, engage students further by using Padlet, reviewed here to explain how the concepts in each actiivty could be applied to their favorite music genre.
