Visitors can even go back in time and view all global earthquake activity over the past five years. The USGS National Earthquake Information Center is the main source for the seismic data on this site. The Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme (AMAP) is a working group of the Arctic Council that monitors environmental threats to the Arctic region. The organization provides scientific assessments on climate change, pollution, mercury, plastics, radioactivity, and human health in Arctic ecosystems. AMAP's reports, maps, graphics, and data support Arctic governments and international organizations in making informed policy decisions to protect this rapidly changing environment.
