The site allows you to browse by grade, which includes Pre-Kindergarten through high school, Higher Education, and Professional Development. Subjects featured are Career Education, English Language Arts, Health Education, Math, Physical Education, Science, Social Studies, Technology, Visual and Performing Arts, and World Languages. When exploring the Collections tab, you can find resources on Anchor Charts, Archaeology, Digital Literacy, Financial Literacy and Economics, Holidays, Native American Heritage, and much more. The Free eBooks section of Open Culture provides teachers and students with access to hundreds of free digital books in multiple formats, including ePub, Kindle, and PDF. The collection features classic literature, historical texts, and modern works suitable for classroom use. Popular titles include To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Frankestein by Mary Shelley, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle, The Odyssey by Homer, and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. This resource is ideal for supporting literature studies, independent reading, and cross-curricular projects. It is user-friendly, though teachers should preview selections to ensure appropriate reading levels and content before assigning them to students.
In the Classroom
Assign small groups different eBooks such as Frankenstein, Pride and Prejudice, or The Odyssey. One helpful feature is the option to switch to a free voice (non-premium). You can click on the voice selector, choose a free voice, and it will continue to work across different URLs without needing to be reset each time. When premium voices are selected, the site may prompt you to sign in with Google to unlock them, but the free voices remain usable without signing in.

You can choose between a standard clue set, where all players have the same clues in different positions, or a wildcard option that creates some unique clues on each board to vary gameplay. After generating a set, each square is editable, allowing you to add images and refine the content before use. The site also includes premade bingo sets organized into categories such as education, holidays, and kids, available directly at the bottom of the homepage. No sign-in is required, and there are no ads, which makes access quick and simple. In the Classroom
Provide students with a list of vocabulary words from a current text and encourage them to look up definitions, audio pronunciation, and example sentences. Have students choose one strong verb or adjective from a piece of writing or a reading selection. Using the thesaurus feature, they find 2-3 synonyms and rewrite one or two sentences to improve clarity or creativity. Have students explore the translation tool by selecting one vocabulary word and learning how it appears in another language they are familiar with or curious about.
