AI Trust You is an add-on for Google Docs that helps teachers and students navigate AI use by creating a shared script and promoting integrity. Before installing this add-on, visit AI Trust You's information page located here to learn more about the features and how to use this tool. Using the add-on, teachers select from four AI categories to specify how students can use AI during the assignment. The categories are content creation, content understanding, research assistance, and audio-visual generation. Students then select the name of their AI tool, the techniques used, and the percentage of AI-assisted work, and the AI Trust You add-on generates a citation to document the use of AI.

AudioPen helps to turn your spoken thoughts into organized ideas. The concept behind AudioPen is simple: turn on the microphone and start talking without organizing your thoughts or worrying about coherence. After completing a recording, AudioPen processes it and produces a text note with information organized into paragraphs, along with a transcript of your recording. Visit the settings option before starting a recording and adjust the input and output language settings if desired. When finished, copy the text to your clipboard to add to an email or document, or download the audio file to your device. Free accounts offer up to three minutes of recording time per project, with no limit on the number of recordings you can create.

After entering a topic, STORM undergoes a brainstorming process to identify articles and information representing diverse viewpoints to include in the article or conversation. Select the link to the topic background discussions to observe the process of creating a conversation or article. Each article contains links to resources utilized to provide information. Visit the Discover section in STORM to find many examples of discussions and articles, or use the search feature to look for specific content. Share or download your results using the PDF link at the bottom of your screen.

STORM can be used as a research assistant and resource tool to create articles to share and use with students. Ask STORM about upcoming topics in your classroom and include specific information that might not be readily available using textbooks and online searches. For example, when studying climate change, inquire about climate change in your particular region or state to provide more relatable information to your students. STORM creates a table of contents for each article and uses these subtopics as starting points for research projects that present different viewpoints and information about your topic. Explore the BrainSTORMing process of an article with students to discuss and understand how to approach information from various perspectives. Extend learning by asking students to research content from different viewpoints using Project Zero's Thinking Routines Toolbox, reviewed here, specifically those in the Considering Controversies, Dilemmas, and Perspectives category. When complete, use Padlet, reviewed here to share student research by creating columns for each perspective or viewpoint.

Google Labs Flow provides a sophisticated sandbox for experimenting with cinematic AI video and high-fidelity music creation. This experimental platform allows users to generate professional-quality video clips using simple text prompts, reference images, or keyframe visuals. The Flow Music component acts as a virtual AI producer, enabling the creation of custom songs and soundtracks through a conversational interface. Free accounts provide 100 initial credits and 50 daily credits to explore features such as text-to-video generation, object insertion or removal in scenes, and video extensions. Sign in to Google and select "new project" to begin creating with Flow. Type what you want to create in the message box and select either image or video after Flow generates your video or music. Continue using the messaging feature to refine your design. When complete, download the video or music or share using the included link.

In the Classroom
Assign each student a space topic they heard about (ex., black holes, astronauts, Mars rovers) and have them research their topic further and present findings in Google Slides reviewed here or a diorama. The American Experience: Civil Rights collection presents a comprehensive set of documentaries and resources that examine pivotal events, key leaders, and significant turning points in the American civil rights movement. This middle and high school classrooms collection provides historical footage, primary sources, and expert interviews to deepen students' understanding of the fight for racial justice in the United States. Some materials contain sensitive content--including images and language reflecting the realities of discrimination and violence--making it essential for teachers to preview resources and provide appropriate context and support during classroom use.

In the Classroom
Select 6-8 key videos or images from the collection and post them around the room with short discussion prompts. Students rotate in small groups, viewing each and responding on sticky notes or in journals. Students choose a civil rights leader featured in the collection (ex., Rosa Parks, John Lewis, or Fannie Lou Hamer) and create a character map using Canva Infographic Creator, reviewed here or MindMup reviewed here that includes the person's motivations, actions, challenges, and legacy. Students watch a short documentary segment and analyze how film techniques (music, narration, visuals) shape viewer understanding. They answer guided questions about the historical content and storytelling strategies.
