Probably the coolest part of this website is entitled "observing," which provides helpful calendars, explanations and images of solar events that are happening soon locally. Refer to this site for upcoming solar phenomena, and encourage students to go out and observe on their own. If there are events in the area, assign students to observe and create a report based on what they saw! If students are able to gather images of the event, we recommend a tool like PowerPoint Online, reviewed here.
