Loud Lit offers "literature for your ears and eyes" (although the site's visual appearance is quite plain!). This collaborative project with the public domain offers recorded literature. You are given the options of listening to the literature, listening and reading the literature, or downloading the literature to an MP3 player. The number of items available for public use is constantly increasing. The current contents include novels, poetry, classic children's literature, a few historical items, and classic short stories. Some examples of available literature include A Tale of Two Cities, The Little Match Girl, The Gift of the Magi, The Declaration of Independence, The Gettysburg Address , and countless others. A separate column shows newly recorded items.

This site is helpful for many subjects and grade levels. Have students use this website when they have to memorize poetry, the Gettysburg Address, or the Declaration of Independence. multilingual students and many learning support students will benefit from the option of "reading" in multi-media format. Use the audio stories with younger students for listening skills. During a poetry unit, why not have students choose one of the poems to read and listen to? Have the students analyze and write in their journals about what they think the poem means. Replace paper journals by using a blog tool like edublogs, reviewed here. Then have the students share the original poem and their own opinions with the class, making this activity a listening, reading, writing, and speaking lesson. Roxxem's technology features allow participants to find the right songs for their learning level, from beginner to advanced, and easily integrate into classroom learning opportunities with study games and live classroom activities. After creating a free account, search for songs, lyrics, or words. Use search settings to adjust levels and maturity song content ratings. Select a song to play games, including Whack-a-Word, Play Lyric Puzzle, Learn Lesson, or print the words. Free accounts include access to all songs, personalized lessons, study games, and live classroom activities. The videos are hosted on YouTube. If your district blocks YouTube, then they may not be viewable.

Share Roxxem learning games on classroom devices or complete activities together on your whiteboard to review vocabulary and pronunciation. Roxxem is an excellent tool for students at home to learn a language not offered in your school. Share this site with parents to use at home. This sentence scrambler allows teachers to type or paste in as many sentences as they would like and scrambles the words at random. Any punctuation typed in remains attached to the word it is next to. Students can then try to unscramble the sentences. Options include putting slashes or dashes between words to make them easier to distinguish. After typing/pasting the desired number of sentences, teachers should check the box marked "Add Numbers" in order to have the sentences separated and numbered. Sentences in Spanish can also be scrambled. Rearranging the words is not part of the interactive activity.

In the Classroom
Multilingual students will find this activity useful for practicing correct English word order. Primary teachers can also use it to teach basic sight words, sequencing, and inferencing skills with short sentences. StartingHarryPotter.com is an online resource designed to guide new readers through the "Harry Potter" series by J.K. Rowling. The website offers a guide to the Harry Potter book series and features interactive elements such as audiobooks, quizzes, videos, and activities to engage readers. The site participants will be able to create different crafts related to the books. The site is visually appealing and has a simple navigation that young readers will be able to access. Many portions of the site are supported by audio that can help struggling readers or second-language learners access the content. Additionally, the site includes resources for parents and educators, offering tips on encouraging and supporting young readers as they begin their Harry Potter journey.

In addition to just reading the books, young students can explore the magical creatures section on the website and then use a drawing app like Google Drawings, reviewed here to design their magical creature, complete with a description of its abilities and habitat. After reading a portion of a Harry Potter book, students can use the character profiles to analyze a character's traits and development. They can then create their own fictional character using a tool like Storyboard That, reviewed here or for younger students Story Map, reviewed here incorporating elements inspired by the Harry Potter series. Older students can explore the series' themes and its impact on popular culture. "AI is for Everyone, Everywhere" is a teacher research guide on integrating artificial intelligence into education. The research handbook includes webinars and The Hands-On AI Projects for the Classroom guide are from ISTE and GM. Guides contain innovative, student-driven projects that meet subject area standards while teaching students the foundations of AI and how it impacts our society. This research guide includes an extensive, downloadable document with in-depth projects and lesson plans to teach students about artificial intelligence. Separate guides are available for elementary, secondary, electives, computer science, and ethics and are available in multiple languages, including; English, Spanish, and Arabic. Look at the projects by scrolling down the page and finding the section that says 1. Select a group, 2. Select a Language. Then you download the PDF Guide.

In the Classroom
Read over the guide deciding which parts need to be shared with the class. Introduce the guide and the projects to students on an interactive whiteboard or with a projector through the part "activate prior knowledge." Then pair more computer savvy students with novice computer users or weak readers with stronger readers as needed. Next, the student-driven approach to the projects includes "Take a Closer Look" activities are scaffolded, guided learning activities that connect subject-area content and artificial intelligence concepts. "Culminating Performances" are meaningful performance tasks that challenge students to synthesize their learning and reflect on what they have learned. Once students have finished the first project, consider setting up computer stations for students to try out the different AI projects.
