Padlet TA is a helpful assistant for creating many educational work documents without requiring registration for most tasks. Options include lesson planning, worksheet creation, text-leveling tools, and more. After choosing a tool, complete the form that asks for information like grade level, topic, and additional context. Add a file, content from Google Drive, a link, or a YouTube video. Adding content from Google Drive requires logging in to a Padlet account. After adding information, click the bright colored bubble next to the form to generate content. When finished, copy the text to a document, export it to Google Docs or PDF, or use the share link to share the URL of a view-only version of your prompt and output.

Draw in each frame within the template, then take a photo and upload your work. After your image processes, download it as an animated GIF.

Be sure to ask students to include a reflective writing piece describing their learning throughout your unit. Take learning to the highest level and ask students to design and create a series of podcasts using Adobe Podcast, reviewed here. Ask students to discuss their learning activities, and also hypothesize on different outcomes of experiments when changing elements or activities. For example, if creating a podcast discussing changes in matter, have students share their thoughts on how the room and outdoor temperature affects outcomes. What if they used juice instead of water? Would the change from ice to liquid take the same amount of time?

Use technology to motivate and engage your students. Give these quality text passages personalized to your class needs. Use as a teaching tool on your interactive whiteboard or projector. Continue to use individually or as small group instruction. Pair a weak reader with a strong reader for independent pair work. You can easily differentiate by creating tiered assignments to meet each students' needs. Share at your next staff meeting to provide collaboration between teachers. Use in a flipped classroom and have students complete the work at home. They will still receive immediate feedback! Use at parent gatherings to provide an example of the grade level expectations. Put on your classroom website as a way to practice at home. Before assigning questions to individual students you might want to check the readability of the questions or supplied readings. Use a tool such as The Readability Test Tool, reviewed here. This reviewer found the articles in some grade levels to be about two years higher in reading level than the grade listed for the question.

Encourage positive attitudes toward learning with this anchor chart that highlights five positive characteristics using the acronym of ZEARN. The seven-page download includes one page with information about the chart and six additional pages for display. Although described as a tool for encouraging positive math attitudes, this chart works well for any subject or content area.

In the Classroom
Share this anchor chart with students and post it on a bulletin board to remind students to reflect upon their work and learning process. As discussed regarding the chart information, provide students with badges to demonstrate the different qualities shown on the chart. Instead of a printable badge, use a digital badge creation tool such as Open Badges, reviewed here, to create unique badges to share with students. Include students in reflection and developing positive attitudes by encouraging them to use this anchor chart as an example to create their own acronym and learning attitude goals. This easy to use tool from Open Washington, reviewed here, automatically generates citations based upon user input. Enter information including author, URL, title, and other options such as project name and organization, then select the type of citation desired. It isn't necessary to fill in all the boxes; however, filling in as many areas as possible creates a more robust citation.

Recommend this site to students for use at home to build properly constructed attribution of materials. Use Audacity in a variety of ways in your classroom. Let students become familiar with creating audio files by practicing voice recordings and experimenting with Audacity's editing tools.
