Are you looking for some of the best content on the web? Use Mix to browse and search for information based on your interests and those of like-minded people. Mix imports content from news sources, popular blogs, and additional world-wide resources. The more you browse and save material, the more Mix will refine its understanding of what you like. Create collections by adding information found on the site or by keeping links to web content found as you browse the Internet. Use Mix's web browser extension to save URL's to collections with just one click. When ready to share your collection, use the share icon to copy the link, send via email, or share on social media.

In the Classroom
Use Mix for your personal research and professional development. Visit Mix occasionally to find new ideas and new sites for teaching. Create and share collections of websites to share with students for use with research projects. For example, as you prepare to teach a science unit on plants, create a collection containing news articles, explainer sites, and online games for students to use as a virtual resource for supplementing classroom lessons. Include documents, slide presentations, and more from your Google Drive for student access from any device. Another use of Mix is to create collections when teaching students how to evaluate online resources. Create a collection from a variety of different resources based on the same topic and ask students to reflect upon the validity of the information and the source. Ask them to use a presentation tool like Sway, reviewed here, to share their findings by including links to the information along with supporting evidence. Another idea for using Mix is for students to create collections to share as part of multimedia projects as a virtual bibliography. In addition to websites shared, ask them to add their written work, images, or other creations. Mix is an excellent tool for creating an online portfolio for students to use when applying to college. Mixboard is an experimental tool from Google Labs that lets you create presentations with AI-generated images and design elements. Begin by selecting the "Get Started" button to start a new project. View some examples on the new board, or begin creating by entering what you want to make in the message box, or by adding images or documents. Edit your board by adding photos or documents, resizing images, adding text, or organizing content. When complete, use the share button to create a shareable URL. Mixboard can also transform the content into a presentation; hover your mouse over the transform button at the top-right of your board to see how many files you need to upload before you can generate a presentation. When the indicator says "Ready," you're good to go. Customize your presentation using the provided choices, including format, story, and appearance. Presentations may take up to twenty minutes to create.

Pre-tests target areas of struggle and assign curriculum based on need. Never again will students have to practice material they have already mastered. The progress tracking throughout is based on Common Core standards. Adjust assigned curriculum on your own if desired by reassigning a pre-test or assigning your own lessons. Register using your email and school information to begin. Add your student list. Once created students have their own individual login to begin placement testing. Add comments, links, and questions to online videos with MoocNote. Create a free account, then import any YouTube video or playlist by pasting the URL. Other options include adding videos from DropBox or Google Drive. Return to unfinished videos from where you left off. Notes link back to the appropriate spot in the video and collect in one central spot for easy viewing. Options on the site allow you to create groups to share videos and adjust privacy settings.

In the Classroom
Be sure to view the Help link the bottom of the page for directions about how to use MoocNote. Share YouTube playlists with students using MoocNotes, add questions or additional information for student viewing. Only registered members can access your videos so that each student will need his own account. Another option is to set up a single teacher account and have all the students use the class login to avoid safety concerns. They could add their own information by including their code-name on notes. Mootion uses AI tools to create video content from your prompts or a completed script. Mootion takes your script of up to 2500 characters and creates a storyboard with images for each paragraph or section of the story. When using a prompt, type in an idea, and Mootion generates a corresponding story. Options include choices of several output languages, style options, and video ratios corresponding to social media options. After adding a prompt or story and making customization choices, click generate to begin the video creation process. You will need to create a free account with Google, Discord, or your email. Each video uses 20 credits; free members receive 200 monthly credits. After generating the video, choose options to regenerate, add assets (your images), animate transitions, or download the video.

More Words is a word list generator that allows you to enter characteristics of a word and identifies words with those attributes. For example, when doing a crossword puzzle and only the first two letters are available, insert those letters along with *** for each missing letter. More Words will generate a list of words that meet the given criteria. Another option is to type in letters to find words that can be made from those letters including words formed by adding a new letter to the beginning or end of the letters you entered.
