Claude is an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot that serves many purposes, such as summarizing and analyzing information, translating text and data, and creating ideas and responses to text. One useful feature in Claude is adding up to five files in PDF, txt, CSV, and other formats. Begin by creating an account using your email address or Google account. Enter your message in the chat box, and Claude will respond based on your input. Use the option to regenerate the request if you want to see different answers, or use the chat box to type in clarifying information to improve the response. View your chat history below the message box and click any chat to review the reply. Use the drop box with the message's title to rename the chat or delete it from your history. Always verify any information provided by ChatGPT before using it. Claude is an evolving tool, and many features regularly change (or upgrade).

Use this resource to improve productivity by asking it to create quizzes, rubrics, lesson plans, and more. Because Claude includes the option to add files, increase productivity further by attaching a worksheet and asking it to modify the content to differentiate learning or to suggest ideas for presenting the content in a different format. Be sure to ask for information as precisely as possible by including grade-level information, the subject you teach, content standards and teaching objectives, and options for differentiating instruction. Math teachers can ask Claude to explain the content differently or ask for ideas on applying math topics to everyday life. In social studies or science, ask Claude to generate a vocabulary list or create a story based on your lessons incorporating essential vocabulary terms. ELA teachers might use Claude to get suggestions for interventions to support struggling readers or to find additional resources to support current lessons. Always verify any information provided by ChatGPT before using it. ZEP is a virtual space where members can move, speak, and interact with other community members and objects. ZEP allows subscribers to create virtual chatrooms that resemble real-life offices, classrooms, social gatherings, and businesses. Teachers can create virtual rooms, called spaces, using provided templates or create a room from scratch by starting with an empty map. Rooms can accommodate up to 20 people at a time. Members must be at least 14 years old to have an account, and it requires parental permission for minors. Zep does allow your space to be password protected, among other security settings, to create a safer online environment for your students.

QuestionWell uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate multiple-choice questions, learning objectives, and essential questions based on your text. Begin by signing in using your Google account, then add a topic, select a language (QuestionWell responds in over a dozen languages), and paste an optional reading passage. Leave the reading passage blank for QuestionWell to write a passage for you. When ready, click "Generate Set" to generate a set of multiple-choice questions and the reading passage if selected. Choose all questions, remove unwanted questions, or add your questions before sharing them with students. When ready, use the export link to print your quiz or share it with several sites, including Quizizz, reviewed here, Google Forms, reviewed here, and others. Free accounts allow members to copy and paste reading passages of up to 1,000 words and create multiple-choice questions.

Consider TinyWow as a versatile resource to assist you with editing, creating, and sharing files and documents of any kind, similar to a Swiss Army Knife. PDF tools allow you to merge, split, compress, and convert PDF documents to different formats. Use the video tools to resize and compress videos, change format, and trim videos. Use TinyWow's image tools to remove backgrounds, create artificial intelligence (AI) images, remove objects from images, and much more. Follow the directions to upload files, convert them, and then download them to your device. Although registration isn't required, TinyWow offers the option to create an account to save your work; otherwise, files are deleted after an hour.

After selecting a tool, use the included options to define terms such as grade level, text levels, or topics for your needs. Many tools also have opportunities to refine the results, including translation to several languages and length of response. MagicSchool also offers Raina, an education chatbot. Use Raina to answer school-related questions such as teaching ideas, research on pedagogy, and behavior management strategies. MagicSchool's database is trained on best practices for educators, is FERPA compliant, and declines non-educational requests. When using AI generation tools, always check the results for accuracy before using them.

STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) is a necessary component of all classrooms today. As educators, we need to find ways to reach all students and help them better understand STEM topics. In this session, we'll share a few STEM activities for educators with limited tech options and those who are simply looking for a no- or low-tech STEM lesson. We'll also reflect on the activity suggestions and discuss possible management concerns that arise when working in cooperative groups. As a result of this session, teachers will: 1. Explore no-tech and low-tech STEM activities; 2. Understand the engineering design process; and 3. Plan for the integration of no- and low-tech STEM activities in the classroom. This session is appropriate for teachers at all technology levels.

Obtaining the transcript of any YouTube video is as easy as entering the URL and pressing go on this easy-to-use site. The transcript appears on the right-hand side of the screen along with the video on the left and includes several options for viewing the information. Click one button to copy the entire transcript, choose a video position and click the link to go to that portion of the transcript, or select auto-scroll to view the transcript in coordination with the video's content. If your district blocks YouTube, then the videos may not be viewable.

Use this transcript creator in several ways to enhance student learning. Create a transcript to provide a written version of a video's content for hard-of-hearing students or those who will benefit from the audio recording and written content. Multilingual students may benefit from having written text to support video content. Provide a written transcript for students to use when watching a video to add notes and highlight important information. Share a copy of a video transcript in your learning management system for students to access when reviewing information for tests and quizzes. When working with videos that require in-depth discussion, consider copying the transcript into Fiskitt, reviewed here. Fiskett is a collaborative tool for annotating documents online. You get a link to edit your poll, a link to send to voters, and a link to view results. Advanced poll options include preventing multiple votes from the same participant and receiving a notification when a new vote is submitted.

Create curiosity, activate prior knowledge, and generate discussion before introducing a new topic or concept; create a poll with questions about the upcoming lesson. Google Arts and Culture has created a fun, interactive way to explore Ludwig van Beethoven's 32 piano sonatas. Start by tapping a rhythm on your space bar, and the program finds one of Beethoven's sonatas that matches their beat. After your rhythm is matched, you can further explore the sonata by listening to the entire piece, zooming in or out of the visual representation of the rhythm. Google Arts and Culture has a free downloadable teacher guide that includes over 50 pages of lessons and teaching ideas.

Share this engaging interactive with students to introduce the concept of rhythm and classical music to students. Include this activity as part of a unit on composers or orchestras.
