AhaSlides works with Google Slides, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, and more to share and receive participant responses using premade templates or creating your own. In addition, take advantage of the AI features to instantly create quizzes from a prompt or an uploaded PowerPoint or PDF document. The education templates include commonly used teaching strategies such as random name spinners, brainstorming, and thinking strategies such as I Know, I Wonder. After selecting a template, edit the text and personalize the slides to fit your needs. Choose "present now" to begin your activity. Participants can join using the customized link or with the attached QR code. Results appear instantly within your presentation and are available in your AhaSlides dashboard. Create a free personal account, then follow the directions to download iorad's browser extension or desktop application to your computer. Create a tutorial by selecting the "new capture" link and following the directions to begin recording from your chosen tab. Demonstrate the procedure and stop recording when finished. iorad automatically creates the tutorial and offers options to edit the contents before completing the publishing process. Share completed tutorials using the links or embed code provided.

The number of classroom uses for this tool is countless! Use iorad to create guides for students to log in to software, games, and computer programs. Select "Create a new project" to create images from text, insert objects, and alter images using the provided tools. When finished, images are available in your history and can be downloaded. Khanmigo offers a suite of free AI-powered tools specially designed for educators. Choose a resource from several categories for differentiation, planning, creating, learning, or support. Select any tool and add the requested information, such as topic, grade level, and learning objectives, into the message box. Adjust the response by highlighting any output portion and asking for changes. When finished, use the included options to print the information, export it to Microsoft Word, create a PDF, or save it to your Google Drive. The results are also available in your Khanmigo account, in the "My Documents" folder. Always double-check information generated by AI for accuracy before using it.

Gravity offers a video response tool to promote asynchronous classroom discussions. Use Gravity to record video or audio prompts or create screen recordings to share. Register for an account using your email, then make a community to use as a home for video prompts. Prompts are then created in community folders and shared using a join code. Students join the discussion using the join code and create an account using their email. Free accounts for educators offer unlimited participants and one minute of video recording time.

Use Gravity to create collaborative discussions on virtually any classroom topic. Challenge students to reflect on their learning at the end of a unit, research project, or literature circle. Here are just a few example questions to ask: What are some things you did well on this assignment? What mistakes did you make on your last assignment that you did not make on today's assignment? What would you do differently? What would you like to learn more about? Create a community folder for student questions; for example, ask students to create a screen-share video to demonstrate questions they have when solving math problems. Since the free version allows for only a one-minute prompt time and a one-minute reply per student, this is a good tool to teach students to be concise when responding, sharing only the important points.Edge Features:

Season one of the award-winning Girl in Space Podcast tells the story of a young scientist abandoned on a dying ship in the further reaches of space. Each of the thirteen episodes takes listeners on a journey with a young botanist as she tells her story through stream-of-consciousness diaries. Later episodes expand to feature a more extensive cast of characters. Each episode is approximately 30-45 minutes long, and they are available on the site's home page and most podcast players, including Apple, Google Play, Pandora, and others.

In the Classroom
Use this podcast as a springboard for many classroom integrations. For example, in literature and writing classes, encourage students to conduct a character analysis of the main character, focusing on her motivation for writing her diary entries. Discuss the different themes of the podcast, such as isolation and survival, and ask students to compare the main character's response to those in other books you read. In science class, include the podcast as part of a space unit by focusing on the topics of space travel and the challenges faced by travelers. Ask students to write stories as they imagine what it would be like to travel in space; use Canva Storyboard Templates, reviewed here as a starting point for students to plan their writing project.
