ElevenLabs converts text to speech and provides many choices for voices used in the output. Although creating an account isn't required, it offers users more characters to convert text to speech. After signing in to your account, use the provided options to select a voice for output and adjust voice settings that include stability, clarity, and exaggeration. Each voice preview consists of a short description with suggestions for use, such as children's stories or narration. An additional option lets users generate custom voices using tools to adjust for age, type of accent, and strength of accent. When ready, type or paste text in one of up to 29 included languages to convert to speech; ElevenLabs recommends using longer text passages for better conversion to audio. Click generate to create and listen to your audio. Use the download link to save your audio as an MP3 file to your device. The free plan offers up to 10,000 characters monthly, up to three custom voices, and speech generation in 29 languages.

Conker.ai is an online platform that can help teachers create online quizzes for students of all grades. Teachers can easily customize quizzes by topic, number of questions, and difficulty level. Questions can be multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, or a combination of both. Quizzes can be completed online using an access code or exported to a Google form. First, you must create a Google account, which requires granting access to your Google Drive.

Use this resource in world language classes and with ENL/ESL students. Include this site as a resource when students are working on a project about another culture. Use the presentation tools to highlight information, add annotations, open a whiteboard, and more. Turn your slides into interactive questions to share with students and receive immediate feedback through the responses. Use the rewards option to give or take away stars to students based on your preferences; students move through levels to receive badges by earning rewards. Download ClassPoint to your Windows device by following the directions and prompts provided. Free accounts offer up to a twenty-five-student class size, five questions per PowerPoint, three draggable objects, three saved classes, and basic gamification. ClassPoint is not available for MacOS devices at the time of this review; however, it is being looked at as an option, so Mac users might want to check back to see if it becomes available.

Then, either upload a file, copy and paste text when creating an audio file, or upload your PowerPoint presentation to create a video. When finished, download the converted file to your device. Although presentations are uploaded as PowerPoint documents, Narakeet is still easy to use with Google Slides. Upload your Google Slide presentations to the Free Office Online Apps, reviewed here, and save as a PowerPoint presentation. Use Narakeet to share information with world language learners to hear the text spoken in the native language. Use this site with ENL/ELL students to convert small pieces of text to their native language. Use this site with students who have difficulty reading, especially when working with more challenging passages and text. Use the video options to convert student presentations into videos, then share presentations on your class website. Narakeet is also a handy option to use when creating flipped learning lessons.
