The Crash Course has over 45 videos on topics ranging from Anatomy to Zoology, Artificial Intelligence to Outbreak Science. There are the more common topics one might want to learn about, like Ecology, Films, Geography, and much more. All videos are free to watch. Each video also includes a short description (some with lesson stem ideas). Crash Course videos are hosted on YouTube. If your district/school blocks YouTube, they may not be viewable. The good news for teachers whose schools block YouTube is that you can download the video if you fill out a form. Go to the Download tab from the top menu, select Students & Teachers, scroll down the page, and follow the directions.

Next, choose "Infographic" from the left menu. You can then choose the format of infographic you wish to create, such as Process, Timeline, Health, and several others. Once you have the format you want, choose "Customize." You can select a different font and size, upload images from your computer or their library, change the background, and more. Finish words on coconuts before the coconuts get to the ground! A rocket holds vowels missing from one of four coconut words that are falling down the screen. Move the rocket with the left and right arrows so the rocket is under the correct coconut to finish spelling the word. Three levels of difficulty and three coconut falling speeds make this game adaptable for a variety of learning levels. When the activity finishes, the coconut falling rate appears as well as the accuracy rate. A graph on the following page shows the number of hits and misses in all the games. Printing the graph for future reference and a sense of accomplishment is easy! Try to advance to the next level with each new game.

This would be great for ESL/ELL learners; have them type a short sentence and listen to the playback to verify that the sentence is correct. It would also be a great practice for beginning readers. Use your interactive whiteboard and have the class tell a very brief story or say a sentence. After typing the sentence into the program, user a pointer for each word as the synthesizer reads it, or have students take turns pointing out the words. Share tonight's homework on your class web page as a link to an audio reminder simply by typing or pasting in the assignment and copying the link to place it on your web page.Comments

The tv411 videos were originally created for the adult English language learner, however, they could be useful to all secondary students. Please preview any video clip that you wish to share.

Use this video clip as an introduction to word study and synonym and antonym usage. Share the video on your projector or interactive whiteboard. Challenge students to create a word cloud of synonyms and antonyms they might use, using a tool such as WordClouds. Spelling Bees allows up to four players to practice spelling by building a beehive with correctly spelled words. Begin by using the site-generated user name or typing your own; then join a game or create your own. Use private game settings to create a private game with a password so only known users will join. When a game is full, play begins. Listen to each word and click or type letters to spell the word. After spelling the word correctly, the game continues until time runs out. At the end of the game, view your position in the finished game along with percentage correct and correct spelling for any missed words.

yEd Live offers tools to create diagrams from scratch or using ChatGPT AI capabilities. Open the sample diagram to view the different types of diagrams, or enter a prompt to generate a diagram. Use yEd's editing tools to change colors, add or remove information, or make additional adjustments to a diagram. You can also use the AI-prompt feature to edit the diagram. When complete, share your diagram by URL, print it, or download it to your device.

After introducing the AI prompt feature, have students create diagrams "on the fly" to organize information. They can design a mind map that outlines features of states or countries, then work in groups to research and present each feature. Students could also hold a brainstorming session using an interactive whiteboard or projector to build a shared organizer for a topic or story. Assign students to "map" out a chapter, short story, or historical event, visually showing key ideas and connections. Turn mapping into a creative challenge: students could color-code concepts to show what they understand, wonder about, and want to investigate further. Use this tool for literature activities, science processes, or social studies projects. Students can even create family trees, food pyramids, or life cycle charts, depending on the subject. Encourage students to collaborate online, building group mind maps or review charts before a test. For a fun extension, have groups map out a plotline for a story they invent or outline step-by-step processes like "how to solve an equation" or "how a law gets passed." Draggo is a convenient way to save, share, and organize your bookmarks from anywhere. With Draggo, you use the web to store your favorite links, preventing loss from computer problems. Join for free. Inside your account, add pages to store, share, and organize links. Add the browser button or drag links into Draggo to put in your inbox; organize when you have time. You can have up to 10 tabs to save your important links. Choose to keep private or make public via your own personalized Draggo URL. Editing is not possible without a user name and password. The introduction video to this site is the only part of the site that appears to require Flash.
