Turn the words students already need to learn into short, game-based practice with WordyKid. The site lets users work with spelling lists, homework words, worksheets, reading pages, books, photos, and other text, and then practice vocabulary, reading, spelling, listening, speaking, writing, and translation through a variety of games. Game choices include Memory Match, Listening Bingo, Word Match, Speak the Word, Word Striker, Word Bowling, Word Flight, Magic Dictation, and other activities. The platform supports English, Spanish, Hebrew, Arabic, and Russian and includes level and reading-readiness settings, saved progress, parent statistics, child profiles, friends features, and leaderboards. Free access currently unlocks all games for 10 hours, so teachers should plan around that concrete usage limit.

Start by adding a prompt in the message bar that states the content and type of activity you want to create. Use the prompts to adjust the content to the grade level, reading level, output language, and other options. Additional options include activity types, adding standards and learning objectives, and creating vocabulary lists. The final step before Chalkie generates your activity is to select a theme option, some of which create materials for students who require low stimulation and have ADHD. After Chalkie generates your materials, use the options to edit them as needed. Although registration isn't required to create with Chalkie, a free account lets users share and export materials to Google Slides, PowerPoint, and PDF, and use Teach Mode. The mix works particularly well for seasonal enrichment, classroom celebrations, literacy centers, STEM connections, and early-finisher activities. Once finished, users can refine slides, including changing text, adjusting image size, and more. When complete, present slides from Napkin Slides or export as a PowerPoint, PDF, SVG, or PNG file. The free plan includes 500 credits weekly; Napkin says it uses about 1 AI credit per word processed, though more complex operations may use more credits. This means the free plan is likely enough to create several lesson presentations each week. Turn a browser tab into a simple workspace for reminders, checklists, study notes, and quick planning with this free sticky-note tool. Users can create and color-code multiple notes, search their collection, sort notes alphabetically or by creation or modification date, and format text with bold, italics, underlining, strikethrough, bullets, and checkboxes. Notes can also include images and be downloaded as TXT, PDF, or RTF files. A pin feature keeps a note visible while users move between supported desktop windows and tabs. Notes save automatically in the browser's local storage rather than to an online account, so they remain on the same device and browser and may disappear when browser data is cleared. Full pinning and editing features are intended for supported desktop browsers and are limited on mobile devices and Safari.

In the Classroom
Have students create color-coded sticky notes for facts, questions, vocabulary, and connections while reading a text, then sort their notes before writing a summary. Ask students to build a checklist for a long-term assignment and update each step as they research, draft, revise, and submit their work. Save preparation time with a large collection of free, ready-to-print worksheets covering math, reading, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, writing, science, social studies, holidays, preschool, kindergarten, and general skills. The homepage reports more than 28,100 worksheets, with most topic collections offering at least 15 activities and many including answer keys. Teachers can browse broad subject categories or search for a specific skill, unit, or lesson topic. Materials range from early-learning practice to selected high school content and include reading passages, writing prompts, computation practice, word problems, language exercises, science activities, and history resources. The creators report that retired educators write the worksheets, which are peer-reviewed, checked by an editor, and reviewed for clarity, age appropriateness, skill progression, and answer accuracy. Worksheets may be downloaded and printed for free educational use, but the site does not permit users to repost the files to public websites, shared drives, or file repositories.

In the Classroom
Invite students to revise several worksheet questions into a class review game with Wayground, formerly Quizizz, reviewed here, and require each team to provide an answer explanation. Have students use a worksheet as the starting point for a hands-on station where they model math problems with manipulatives, act out vocabulary, sequence printed events, or test a science concept with classroom materials. Use worksheets at different complexity levels for targeted practice, then ask students to reflect on which items were most challenging and create a personal improvement plan in Simplenote, reviewed here.
