This tool reveals full URLs for links that have been shortened using URL shortener tools (like bit.ly, tinyurl.com and others). Many of the URLs created by the shortening sites are blocked by school content filters (because the shortener websites are actually blocked). Try un-shortening the URL with this tool to access the content and to know what you are headed for! Enter the URL and click the button. Shortened URLs can also hide undesirable content, so seeing the "real" URL can prevent embarrassment such as opening something unexpected in front of others.

Bookmark Quillbot as a supplement to your current curricular materials and a resource for students to use for practice and remediation in writing skills. The courses also provide practice and instruction for use with English Language Learners. Share with college-bound students to use in preparation for college-level courses. Include a link to Quillbot's resources on your class webpage for easy access at any time. Consider curating resources for students using Wakelet, reviewed here, for sharing a collection that includes commonly-used lessons. Find and assign individual topics to students or classes to address specific areas that need additional instruction. For example, when students struggle with the proper use of commas, give and discuss any of the activities found on Quillbot that provide instruction and practice. As students make revisions, ask them to share the before-and-after changes in their writing. For example, when working with Google Docs, ask students to submit an original draft and the finished product, and reflect upon the changes and revisions made. Use this tool to correctly use and give proper credit for images from Flickr Creative Commons on any web age or wiki. Search for images using Flickr Creative Commons reviewed here or from the handy link provided on ImageCodr. Enter the URL for the picture page from Flickr, and ImageCodr will generate a block of HTML code for you to include on your web page or other online project. This code will make both the image AND the appropriate credit display. A brief licensing summary shows as a caption when you use the embed code. Note that this tool does not work for including images and credits in offline projects such as PowerPoint slides. It will work in any online tool that allows embed codes!

Undraw is an open-source resource for image designs to use with any application. Choose from a huge library of images available in PNG and SVG formats. Use the color generator to customize and change the image color to fit your needs. Although only a portion of each image changes color, the effect is significant and very helpful for various needs. Take advantage of the search feature to browse through the many available images that match your criteria. After selecting an image and color, click to open the picture and choose from options to download to your computer as an SVG or PNG file.
In the Classroom
Be sure to bookmark this resource for images for a variety of classroom uses. Include images from this site in your class newsletter or website. Select interesting images to use for creative writing prompts. Change the color in an image and ask students to compare the two images and reflect upon how the use of color changes an item's mood or tone. In this workshop, you'll discover the power of using a variety of free Microsoft tools to incorporate digital escape rooms into your teaching. Using Microsoft Sway as our foundation, we'll design a narrative that guides students through a series of puzzles and tasks that promote critical thinking and problem-solving skills. By the end of the session, you'll be equipped to design your own digital escape experiences that you can easily integrate into your curriculum. As a result of this session, teachers will: 1.
