Parlay is a virtual round table student-driven discussion tool. Browse the discussion prompts on the site or create your own. Each round table starts with a statement of the learning goals for the activity. Students then view added content and multimedia, including videos, articles, and other information to support the discussion. After reviewing the content, students participate by responding to discussion questions followed by peer feedback. After creating a round table, invite students to participate using the join code or link to your activity. Another option available on the site is Parlay Genie, an artificial intelligence-based tool that creates discussion prompts based on your topic, grade range of students, and additional information such as weblinks and the number of students. In addition, Parlay connects to Google Classroom, Schoology, Canvas, and other school platforms, allowing educators to assign to students automatically. The free option offers up to twelve round tables and one custom content request.

Wooclap takes smartphones into the classroom for use as an interactive learning tool. Use Wooclap to ask multiple-choice questions, polls, and ask students to locate areas on images. Use the messaging feature to gather and display messages from participants. Wooclap also features options for add-ins to include PowerPoint Slides, Google Slides, PDF's, and more. Free Wooclap accounts allow users two questions for up to 1,000 students; however, it is free for educators in K12 by following the directions found here. Create an account to begin, then add an event. Choose the type of activity from the provided options such as a poll, open-ended question, word cloud, and more. Share your activity using the event code or link created for it.

After downloading Zight, follow the directions to install and use it on your device. Use the included tools to trim and cut videos or create GIFs. When finished, save and generate a link to your clipboard. Other features include the ability to do real-time annotations while you are recording your screen and editing tools to trim and cut recordings. Zight integrates with Slack, Microsoft Teams, and others. Free accounts offer one user up to twenty-five items with ninety-second recording times.

After creating an account, upload your photo, and Trace removes the background and leaves the image's main focus. Download the edited image as a PNG file or continue through the additional options to add a new color background, upload a new image for the background, use one of Trace's background images, or edit using the crop tool. When finished, download your image to your device.

Bookmark this site for many classroom uses. Combine your downloaded image with others using a variety of tools, including Google Slides. Choose a background image of a city being studied, a different time, or in a far-away setting like the moon, then place your student image on top. Resize the image to fit the scene. Explore and learn about bugs with this activity book provided by Western Pest. Follow the instructions to learn how to draw ladybugs and other insects, then follow the directions to go on an insect hunt to learn about ants and beetles. Download or print the five-page activity book using the links provided on the top of the page.

This printable activity book provides the opportunity to engage students and inspire curiosity to learn more about bugs and insects. It is useful when teaching in-classroom or during remote learning lessons. Ask students to use the activity book as they look for and observe insects in their world. If possible, ask students to take photographs of insects they find and then use them to compare and contrast features. Use PhotoCollage, reviewed here, to create a collage using images taken by students, then use the 2 and 3 Circle Interactive Venn Diagrams found at ClassTools, reviewed here, to compare and contrast features. As a final project, create a digital class book using Book Creator, reviewed here. Include images, writing samples, student audio, and more in your book. For younger students, WriteReader, reviewed here, is another option for creating and sharing digital books. WriteReader offers the ability to share collaborative student writing that includes original student writing along with "correct" spelling underneath.

What image did the Hubble Telescope take on your birthday? Find out and learn about the stars and galaxies as pictured by the telescope. Enter your birth month and date and submit to view a high-quality image with a short description of the location and discussion of the picture. Select the "More Info" link for a more detailed overview and analysis of the image.
In the Classroom
Use this site to engage students in learning about space exploration and the universe beyond planet Earth. Share images on your interactive whiteboard or have students explore on their own on their mobile devices. Ask students to use one image as the starting point for a research project based upon your curriculum. Encourage students to keep notes using Google Documents or Microsoft Word. Have students use a photo collage creation tool such as PhotoCollage, reviewed here, to combine images with common characteristics or ask them to use Image Annotator, reviewed here, to annotate images to discuss features including the location of the image, add links to additional information, and more. As an extension activity, ask students or groups of students to create digital books using Book Creator, reviewed here, about their research. The Pack is an open-world game based in Algos, a place where healthy ecosystems are no longer in place, and the player is responsible for assessing the needs to fix the environment. Each new game begins in a unique world and encourages players to use computational thinking skills and an understanding of environmental awareness. Follow the included Teacher-Guide to find ideas and strategies for classroom use. Download the tips and tricks guide and watch the introductory video to learn more about The Pack. Use the download links to download to a Mac, Windows system, or access the app available at the iTunes Store.

In the Classroom
Utilize the Teacher-Guide to find ideas for classroom use. Use the table in the guide as a starting point to document and organize student learning. As students play The Pack, use a spreadsheet tool such as Excel or Google Sheets to recreate the table in the guide and add additional areas of documentation. Enhance student learning by having students use a screen recording tool like Screencastify, reviewed here, to share different portions of the game and their chosen actions. As a final activity, and to extend student learning, ask students to create their own environmental learning game using Scratch, reviewed here.

Register using your email to begin viewing and downloading templates to personalize. Select options by file format or type of publication desired. Use the keyword search to find specific content; for example, use Education & Free to find a variety of templates (over 1,000) for use in educational settings, including flyers, brochures, and posters. Select the file to download, then choose the free option. This option requires that users give credit to the source of the template and provides wording to copy and paste onto digital sites or print copies.

In the Classroom
Bookmark and save this site as a time-saving option for a variety of classroom uses. Share with students to use when creating class projects. For example, choose a brochure for students to use to create and share book reviews, state research projects, or to document a science experiment. To extend learning, have students use a multimedia presentation tool such as Adobe Creative Cloud Express for Education, reviewed here, to share their learning.
