The Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) Program provides free, standards-based weather and climate lesson plans for grades K-12. Each grade band explores age-appropriate topics through hands-on, inquiry-based activities. Younger students (K-2) learn about clouds, waves, and melting ice, while grades 3-5 explore wind, erosion, and rainfall. Middle school lessons (6-8) focus on current weather, climate regions, and meteorological systems. High school students (9-12) investigate greenhouse effects, wind profiles, and cloud radar.
