Before playing the Plagiarism Game, have students work in small groups to find examples of plagiarism in real-world contexts (e.g., news stories, social media posts, or famous cases of academic dishonesty). Then, have each group present their findings and discuss how the plagiarism could have been avoided. Create a classroom escape room using Google Forms reviewed here or Genially reviewed here where students must solve citation-related puzzles to unlock the final "safe passage" to submit a research paper. Include challenges like identifying plagiarism, correcting citations, and differentiating between paraphrasing and direct quoting.
