Claude is an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot that serves many purposes, such as summarizing and analyzing information, translating text and data, and creating ideas and responses to text. One useful feature in Claude is adding up to five files in PDF, txt, CSV, and other formats. Begin by creating an account using your email address or Google account. Enter your message in the chat box, and Claude will respond based on your input. Use the option to regenerate the request if you want to see different answers, or use the chat box to type in clarifying information to improve the response. View your chat history below the message box and click any chat to review the reply. Use the drop box with the message's title to rename the chat or delete it from your history. Always verify any information provided by Claude before using it. Claude is an evolving tool, and many features regularly change (or upgrade).

Use this resource to improve productivity by asking it to create quizzes, rubrics, lesson plans, and more. Because Claude includes the option to add files, increase productivity further by attaching a worksheet and asking it to modify the content to differentiate learning or to suggest ideas for presenting the content in a different format. Be sure to ask for information as precisely as possible by including grade-level information, the subject you teach, content standards and teaching objectives, and options for differentiating instruction. Math teachers can ask Claude to explain the content differently or ask for ideas on applying math topics to everyday life. In social studies or science, ask Claude to generate a vocabulary list or create a story based on your lessons incorporating essential vocabulary terms. ELA teachers might use Claude to get suggestions for interventions to support struggling readers or to find additional resources to support current lessons. Always verify any information provided by ChatGPT before using it. ZEP is a virtual space where members can move, speak, and interact with other community members and objects. ZEP allows subscribers to create virtual chatrooms that resemble real-life offices, classrooms, social gatherings, and businesses. Teachers can create virtual rooms, called spaces, using provided templates or create a room from scratch by starting with an empty map. Rooms can accommodate up to 20 people at a time. Members must be at least 14 years old to have an account, and it requires parental permission for minors. Zep does allow your space to be password protected, among other security settings, to create a safer online environment for your students.

Earn certificates as a class or challenge students to complete activities individually or in small groups. EAPS Scientist activity is available at all times, and most videos are approximately five minutes long, making it perfect to complete as a weekly supplemental science activity. Encourage students to participate by creating a chart with the names of all video activities and adding completion codes when finished. For example, create a Google Doc with a table with an area for adding completion codes. Underneath the table, create a heading for each video and ask students to share information they learned by watching it. In addition, add links for students to visit to learn more about each topic. Complete the document as a class, or create a collaborative document for older students. Begin by signing in using your Google account, then add a topic, select a language (QuestionWell responds in over a dozen languages), and paste an optional reading passage. Leave the reading passage blank for QuestionWell to write a passage for you. When ready, click "Generate Set" to generate a set of multiple-choice questions and the reading passage if selected. Choose all questions, remove unwanted questions, or add your questions before sharing them with students. When ready, use the export link to print your quiz or share it with several sites, including Quizizz, reviewed here, Google Forms, reviewed here, and others. Free accounts allow members to copy and paste reading passages of up to 1,000 words and create multiple-choice questions.

Consider TinyWow as a versatile resource to assist you with editing, creating, and sharing files and documents of any kind, similar to a Swiss Army Knife. PDF tools allow you to merge, split, compress, and convert PDF documents to different formats. Use the video tools to resize and compress videos, change format, and trim videos. Use TinyWow's image tools to remove backgrounds, create artificial intelligence (AI) images, remove objects from images, and much more. Follow the directions to upload files, convert them, and then download them to your device. Although registration isn't required, TinyWow offers the option to create an account to save your work; otherwise, files are deleted after an hour.

TinyWow is perfect for many different classroom uses, and since it doesn't require registration, it provides an excellent resource for use by you and your students. The Food Gardening with Justice in Mind provides a comprehensive resource for individuals interested in food gardening emphasizing sustainability, social justice, and community engagement. It offers practical lessons, resources, and guidance for individuals at all skill levels, fostering a deeper understanding of the connections between food, gardening, and social change. Each unit contains five to seven ready-made lessons where students work together to explore growing food, relationships with the land and food system, and practice leadership in their communities. Activities in the fully downloadable curriculum connect to New York State Learning Standards and 4-H life skills.

Add this project or one of the units to your arsenal of tools for teaching the Sustainable Development Goals explained in World's Largest Lesson , reviewed here. Show the introduction to S.O.W. on your interactive whiteboard to the class focusing on the links for Seeds for Supper (a beginning gardening experience). If you don't have a school garden, there is a link to Gardening in Containers in Seeds for Supper, which would be easier and more affordable for a classroom or individual students. As you and your class move through the unit, have students use Wakelet, reviewed here to keep a list of notes and links. Be sure to include images of your before and after garden. As a culminating project, use Flock, reviewed here to have students describe the most useful information they learned from this unit. Ask them to comment on their peer's responses.

Almanack uses AI (artificial intelligence) to generate lesson plans and materials for educators. Create an account to begin using Almanack and access your account dashboard. Select the Resources link to choose from options to create a resource. Options include assessments, group activities, slide decks, and additional activities. After selecting one of the tools, follow the prompts to add course information, learning objectives, and outcomes. Export materials created by Almanack to Google Docs, PowerPoint, or Google Slides and edit as needed, depending on the type of tool made. Use the Courses link to develop lessons and units using Almanack's suggestions or add information manually.
